    Originally incorporated in 1957, “River & Sea Gabions (New York) Inc.” served as the United States based distributor of Maccaferri products until 1960 when Officine Maccaferri took over the trading company. They renamed the company “Maccaferri Gabions of America Inc.” and opened operations on 5th Avenue in Manhattan. In 1972, Maccaferri opened our manufacturing facility in Williamsport, where a separate company was established known as “Maccaferri Gabions Manufacturing Co. Inc.” The trading company remained in Manhattan, where it changed its name to “Maccaferri Gabions Inc.” and served as the headquarters of both businesses. By the end of the 1980’s, the Manhattan operations relocated to Williamsport where the manufacturing and trading company were merged into one. Maccaferri Inc. still manufactures its Double-Twist Wire Mesh products in Williamsport. In early 2017, Maccaferri relocated its Sales, Marketing, and Technical staff to Rockville, Maryland. Our new office affords us the opportunity to better serve our clients and their markets.     Responsibilities

    Marketing manager is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for the US based operations. He/She works closely with Area Managers, the Technical Department, and International Marketing to promote the overall health and image of the organization. 

     

    Essential Functions

     

    • Developing the marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives.
    • Perform daily marketing function driving awareness, brand recognition, and managing the go-to-market activities.
    • Support Sales organization with market analysis, using CRM (“MacDynamics”) and other tools.
    • Coordinating marketing campaigns with sales activities.
    • Planning and implementing promotional campaigns.
    • Manage and improve lead generation campaigns, measuring results.
    • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity.
    • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications.
    • Creation and dissemination of marketing content – working in collaboration with Brand and Communications Coordinator and Subject Matter Experts.
    • Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans and corporate standards.
    • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
    • Creating and overseeing the company’s marketing budget.
    • Organizing tradeshow and event participation.
    • Attend local events/participate in trade organization to elevate marketing in the A/E/C industry and the Maccaferri Brand.
    • Participate in ride-a-longs with area managers and keep up to date on what is needed for their success in each respective territory.
    • Coordinate with Corporate marketing team to ensure synergy between the two.

    Qualifications

     Competencies

    • Minimum of 5 years’ of professional Marketing experience.
    • Working knowledge of the civil, geotechnical or construction industry.
    • Understand traditional and emerging marketing approaches and how to apply them.
    • Aptitude in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.

    • Familiarity with CRM systems.

    • Comfortable with using Adobe Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

    • Self-starter

    • A high-level of attention to detail

    • Effective written and verbal communication skills a must

    • Personable, presentable and articulate

    • Excels in team environment

    • Problem-solver
